XA Score will help coaches and staff build trust with players. By providing real-time data on how they are doing, coaches can pinpoint concerns and pull aside individuals they may need to connect with personally.
Basics
Student-Athletes:
The Daily Check-in for readiness will take less than 10 seconds each day to complete. You answer 3 consistent questions each day that, over time, provide several benefits to your coaches and program.
- When answering the FEELING question, think Mind, Body, and Soul. Think of this as quietly raising your hand if you are dealing with something personal, are sick, or just not doing well overall.
- As compared to the SORENESS question, this is specifically for issues you are experiencing with your body due to training or competition.
When you are assigned an EVENT, it will appear on your home screen. If you have not checked in to that event before the 10-Min Warning, you will get a notification. Then, or anytime prior, you can notify the system if you need to:
- I should be there on time.
- I’ll be late, but I have a good excuse.
- I’ll be late, and I have no excuse.
- I can’t make it, but I have a good excuse.
- I can’t make it, and I have no excuse.
Scanning a QR Code tell XA Score you were at a specific location and a specific time. Coaches use this to determine your ATTENDANCE as well as your ON-TIME SCORE.
If set by your coaches, you can also be SCORED on five different categories relative to your progress towards weight goals. This is calculated every time you submit a body weight in the system.
How you manage your daily habits with nutrition, hydration, sleep, and recovery will have a direct impact on your WEIGHT SCORE.
Coaches:
You can log data for your athletes, log and track your own data, and access both positional and individual results, all from your phone. A more robust reporting dashboard is available to you via the web.
When monitoring EVENTS, coaches can see the following:
- Who has Checked-In & when
- Who is Missing
- Who is Late
- Who has Reported (See Athlete On-time, Late, Miss updates above)
- Daily Checkin Data
- Weight Checkin Data
With your Xtra Assistant, let’s say that you have a team training session that begins at 7:00 am. You set a 6:45 am check-in time for your team to be in the building. They can scan a QR Code at the entrance of the building, letting XA know when they walked in the building, and submit their DAILY Checkin, which is equivalent to a program-wide conversation in less than 10 seconds. Then go step on a XA Score Scale that automatically enters an accurate body weight.
By 6:55 am you know,
- who is there,
- were they on time,
- what are they weighing this morning,
- how do they feel overall,
- how did they sleep last night, and
- what is their level of soreness.
You can quickly identify a handful of individuals you need to pull aside and speak with personally, whether that is because of a FEELING concern, SLEEP concern, or their weight is oddly down. You are given quick context on what is necessary to continue your coaching of that athlete or find out if something is going on.
Coaches can also check athletes in for any event on their own devices. They can also submit an excuse on a future event if the athlete has a personal conversation with you directly.
